I originally published this article on my family blog. It answers the questions:
What do you do for entertainment? Did you really turn off your television 17 years ago? How about video games or computer games?

This, too, was published on my family blog. It continues the above article, by looking at several scripture verses relating to the subject of entertainment.
"Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy - meditate on these things." Philippians 4:8
Do your entertainment choices match up with God's instructions here?

This article answers the questions:
Do you believe the Public School System is evil? Do you believe all Christians should homeschool their children? Do you homeschool because some of your children have Special Needs? Do you homeschool because you desire to protect and shelter your children?

One of my favorite conversations with strangers ...
While out shopping with 6 or 7 of my kids, I will undoubtedly be asked, "Are they all yours?" To which I casually respond, "Yes, these are all mine. However, they aren't ALL of mine. I have 6 or 7 more at home."

This article discusses 3 scriptural premises:
Children are a blessing. God will ALWAYS take care of our needs. God will never give us more than we can handle.
If you believe that those three things are true, why would you choose to limit your family to just one or two children (as the typical American family does)?
Laurel is NOT advocating for all families to have 13 children; she just wants to encourage others to really consider why they may have chosen to limit the size of their families.

A 2 week trip to my daughter's YWAM base in Argentina made me ponder what it means to be comfortable and content, while at the same time to live simply. I began to wonder what types of changes our family should make, in order to live in the midst of God's Best for each of us.
