Messages of Hope

Laurel Diacogiannis has a wide variety of dynamic messages to share with many types of groups.  Her talks range from Inspirational Messages to specific Teaching Topics, with a whole lot of Encouragement & Exhortation sprinkled throughout.

(Please scroll down this page for details about the individual messages.)

As a woman who has walked with the Lord for over 30 years, Laurel enjoys sharing with adults of all ages.  She is passionate about making every day a joy-filled Journey of Faith.  She speaks on prayer, faith, miracles, joy, hope, and many other topics relevant to living out our faith, while walking "in the world".

As a mother of 12 children (ages 8-25), Laurel loves to share with any type of Mom's Group.  She has the experience gained through parenting 6 children all the way to adulthood; while at the same time she is still right there in the trenches with her 6 youngest (ages 8, 8, 10, 11, 13, 16).

As a homeschooling mom of 20 years, Laurel has much experience to share with other mothers that have chosen to teach their children at home. She has taught 6 children all the way through high school, and she has at least 10 years of homeschooling left to go.

As a teenager, Laurel experienced a variety of traumatic experiences.  She knows the devastating pain of hopelessness, and the life-giving response of finding the hope of Jesus Christ in her very darkest hour.  Because of these experiences, Laurel has been able to minister to many teens who are struggling, while sharing at Young Life, Youth Groups, or Christian School assemblies.

Laurel would love to help as you prepare for your next event.  You may choose from one of the following topics or let Laurel create a program especially for your group.  With the Lord's guidance, Laurel is continually developing more retreat and seminar ideas.

Inspirational Retreat Programs

A Journey of Faith

(Women's Retreat)

Are you searching for hope and joy?  This four session retreat will help you learn to Seek God's comfort, Share God's Radiance, Expect God's Power, and Experience God's Presence.

Find out how to truly make your life a Journey of Faith, walking hand in hand with the Lord through times of joy and times of trial.

Making the Most of Motherhood

   (A Retreat Especially for Moms)

This retreat focuses on the JOY of motherhood.  While Laurel does take a look at the trials that most moms face, she wants moms to go home refreshed and encouraged ... children ARE a blessing, and motherhood IS a holy calling.

You can choose any combination of Laurel's messages on motherhood, but four of her most popular are:  Life is Like a Circus, The Challenge of Chores for Children, Sibling Relationships: Teamwork or Torment?, and What's Cooking?

Seasons of Marriage

 (Marriage Retreat)

Laurel and her husband, Jim, enjoy helping couples take a close look at the seasons of their marriage.  No matter how long you have been married, every marriage goes through seasons ... of new beginnings (spring) ... of good times (summer) ... of waiting (fall) ... and of darkness (winter).  Laurel and Jim, who have been married 27 years, and have walked through each season several times, are blessed by the opportunity to come alongside other couples to help them navigate the seasons of their marriages.

 Homeschooling a Houseful

(A Women's Retreat especially

for Homeschooling Moms)

As a homeschooling mom for the past 20 years, Laurel loves to spend time with fellow moms who have a passion to teach their children at home.  While definitely a challenge, homeschooling brings blessings beyond compare to mothers and their children (with great benefits for dad, too).

You may choose any combination of Laurel's messages on homeschooling and motherhood, but four of her most popular for the homeschooling crowd are:  Teaching Toddlers & Teenagers & all the In-Between-Agers, What's Cooking?, The Challenge of Chores for Children, and Sibling Relationships:  Teamwork or Torment.

Training Our Daughters to be Women of God

(Mother/Daughter Retreat)

What a blessing this weekend is for mothers and their daughters.  Using drama, role-play, visual aids, and a lot of humor, Laurel is able to encourage the mothers and inspire the daughters all at the same time.

Using the Proverbs 31 Woman as her guide, Laurel looks at:  Who is a Woman of God?  What does a Woman of God do?  What Character Traits does a Woman of God exhibit?, and, in a "mom's only" session, How to be an Example of a Godly Woman for our Daughters.

Mothers & Daughters ... God's Gift to Each Other

(Mother/Daughter Retreat)

This retreat looks at the mother/daughter relationship as a beautiful gift from the Lord.  Laurel and her eldest daughter, Cassie, share What the Gift is, the Beauty of the Gift, the Value of the Gift, and the Uniqueness of the Gift.
